Hello again! I know I have been totally MIA, things are still pretty crazy. But now I need some help. We decided to do the music ourselves for the wedding (after having seen the parade of bad DJs at SVP over the past several years!). So, if you were going to a wedding and planned to dance the night away, what songs would you want to hear? So far we only have 2.7 hours and we need 4. HELP!!
Oh yeah...you know what's coming. How do you like these apples?
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, some good James Brown (Get up off that thing and dance til you feel better). I'll email you tomorrow when I have my playlists in front of me.
You might want to clear out your inbox. I'll start emailing mp3s to you.
Sweet. Please send away. We have alot of stuff, but some alternatives might be nice. are you getting your MC voice warmed up, oh holder of most important job?
ReplyDeleteOh Becca, we are in the same predicament! We don't have any dancing music. We have Beatles and such for early in the evening, but we are struggling with the later stuff. If you get some good stuff we would love to borrow it! I can probably give you a list of what we have or set up a share "thingy" in itunes if you want to see what we have.
ReplyDeleteOh ya! I will email you tonight Mel about what we have so far. We should set up a sharing thing or I can burn you a cd to send to you or something :)
ReplyDeleteDave is pretty crafty with computers (its his job) so I am sure he can set something up so we can share music.
ReplyDeleteI would recommend some Michael Buble. He has some good dancing music and he is the kind of singer that mostly anyone likes.
ReplyDeleteGood idea! I had thought of that early on but had forgotten at this point. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe Gambler, by Kenny Rogers. Just make sure everyone is drunk enough to sing along.
ReplyDeleteSomething to slow dance to: "Sail Away" by David Gray (on the album White Ladder)

Something more upbeat: "Michael" (I think?) by Franz Ferdinand (on the album Franz Ferdinand) - dancing is a theme of the song
